# Proactive Alerts

> Spot changes in payment and billing health before they become bigger problems

Payment problems are easy to miss when you have to find them yourself. A decline in authorization rates, a rise in 3D Secure drop-off, or a quiet gap in payment activity can hide inside an otherwise healthy dashboard. You should not need to be a payments expert to know what to watch.

**Slicker Alerts brings payment expertise to your data.** It watches for meaningful changes, looks for new issues worth monitoring, and helps your team understand what to do next.

## Know what needs your attention

> **Start without the guesswork**
>
> Begin with expert-built monitors for payment and billing health. You do not have to design every alert yourself.

> **Stay alert to new patterns**
>
> Slicker checks incoming data against your business's changing patterns and suggests new monitors as it learns where attention may be needed.

> **Get from signal to action**
>
> Ask Slicker's AI agent to investigate an alert and create a report on its impact, possible drivers, and recommended next steps.

> **Keep your team informed**
>
> See active and past alerts in Slicker, choose recipients, and add email notifications when useful.

## Monitoring that evolves with your business

Slicker offers ready-made monitors for issues worth watching, such as changes in payment success, authentication friction, renewal performance, and unusual failure patterns. What is available depends on the data you have connected. As new data arrives, Slicker keeps evaluating your enabled monitors against your own history, helping distinguish a meaningful shift from normal variation.

The AI agent also revisits your data to find gaps in what you already monitor. It can propose additional alerts tailored to your business, each with a reason for the suggestion and a preview of how it would have behaved in the past. New proposals wait for your review; you decide what to enable. You can use the same historical preview to tune a monitor's sensitivity and keep routine fluctuations from overwhelming your team.

## From alert to answer

When a monitor spots an issue, the **Alerts** page shows what happened and whether it is still active. Select **Analyze with AI** to generate a report that explores the impact, where the issue may have started, and practical steps to investigate or address it. The report is saved for your team to revisit. You can also open the related view in [Analytics](https://docs.slickerhq.com/essentials/analytics.md) to explore the trend and affected segments, acknowledge an alert, and refine or disable a monitor as your business changes.

Open [Alerts in Slicker](https://app.slickerhq.com/alerts) to see your monitors and proposals. If Alerts is not available for your organization yet, [get in touch](https://www.slickerhq.com/contact) to ask about access.
